The mission of the Fundació Palau is to preserve, exhibit and publicise artistic and documentary work owned by Josep Palau i Fabre. One of the highlights of the collection is the permanent exhibition room which includes the foundation's Picasso collection. Visitors can see for themselves the strength of the long-lasting friendship that existed between the Malaga artist and the Catalan writer. In addition to the permanent exhibition rooms, the Fundació Palau organises activities related to the plastic arts and literature, as well as temporary exhibitions and "Poesia i +", the summer poetry festival of Caldes d'Estrac.

In order to make its artistic and literary collections accessible to schools and groups, the Fundació Palau organises a series of educational activities aimed at different levels. The activities fall into two categories: art workshops and literary activities. The latter include literary workshops and literary tours around Caldes d'Estrac.
