Literary route: "Caldes d'Estrac, Pearl of Poets" ”

The presence in Caldes d’Estrac of the poet Josep Palau i Fabre, and the foundation which bears his name, serves to magnify and highlight the time spent here by another three key Catalan literary figures: Jacint Verdaguer, Apel·les Mestres and Joan Maragall, on the cusp between the cultural rebirth of the Renaixença and the first stirrings of the Noucentisme movement. A guided tour of the town serves to reveal the spaces which they each shared, giving visitors the chance to tune in to the different voices of four figures all with the same vocation: that of the poet. The route ends with a visit to the Foundation.
